School will be open on 12th December
Staff have been hard at work today (Monday) to clear the snow away from the entrance into the car park. We have cleared the pathways and we will spread more salt and grit on these tomorrow morning before pupils arrive to melt any overnight ice. Staff and pupils should consider leaving home a little earlier than normal to allow plenty of time to move slowly and carefully over any ice on roads and pavements.
Special arrangements to allow us to open as normal on Tues 12th December:
- Students will be instructed to only use cleared pathways
- We will not be allowing students outside at break or lunchtime to reduce the risk of slips and accidents on parts of the site which have not been cleared of snow .
- We will not allow anyone to throw snow on the site as by this time it will be compacted into ice and therefore will be dangerous
