Eden Boys vs Broadway Academy – Cricket

On Thursday 22nd June 2017, Eden Boys played in their second league game against Broadway Academy. Skipper Umair Zaman won the toss and decided to bat first. Eden Boys’ got off to a good start with some sensible batting. Once the first wicket fell both last week’s man of the match, and match winner Yousaf Sharif and Umair Zaman shared a lengthy partnership batting in the middle. Both players looked in fine form with the bat scoring regularly. In the end Eden Boys’ posted a very competitive total of 135 runs, with Yousaf scoring 24 and Umair 68 not out. The second innings began really well for the boys’ with quick wickets falling for Broadway, thanks to some really good bowling by Yusuf Mahmood and Hamza Asad. With consistently good bowling from AbuBakar, Ismail, Musa and Eesa the game was conformably won by 80 runs! A massive well done to all the boys’ involved, next up Holte and Hamstead Hall, lets hope we can keep to our winning ways.
